Continuing from my last post, after returning home from the hospital, a long recovery process began. Fortunately, I had just finished my previous project, and I didn’t have a new one lined up yet, so I spent three months in bed at home. Initially, I slept through day and night, and my mom later told me that on the first night back home, my chubby face had slimmed down significantly overnight. I often woke up feeling groggy and deprived of sleep even though I slept for days. I couldn’t get up easily.
Later on, I was able to get up and move around, but I still had headaches and felt mentally and physically exhuasting. My memory was also spotty, and I couldn’t speak very coherently. I’d often forget what I was saying or have gaps in my memory. As time passed, I could manage basic daily activities, although I wasn’t working, and I had no stress. I spent my days moving slowly with various aches and pains, making me feel very tired. It was the kind of pain that seemed to be everywhere, particularly in deep muscle and nerve areas, and it was a constant, dull ache that quickly exhausted me. I had nightmares almost every night, and when I woke up, it felt like I hadn’t slept at all, leaving me anxious and weary.
Once I was able to function somewhat normally, my parents breathed a sigh of relief, and the idea of hiring a lawyer began to resurface. They couldn’t stand seeing me suffer day by day, and after a friend’s inadvertent suggestion, they realized that we couldn’t let the situation go unresolved. They didn’t know how to find a lawyer or what type of lawyer to look for, so they had to wait for me to regain some mental capacity to handle this matter. In my hazy state, I started arranging meetings with lawyers.
